The intense days

Loreto

10/10/2021

We update you on the intense days we have lived in these days. On 7th October, each province and vice province presented their reality, accompanied by number of sisters and photos, it was very nice to see the faces of all the Sisters and to know the areas in which they live and work. We could see the grace and providence of Jesus in our mission.

October 8th was a day dedicated to the transition of seeing to the phase of illuminating. We started in the morning with conducted prayer on the theme of light, that “Lord” is our light and our salvation, each of us prayed and received a lamp made by Teresa Verzeri Province. This lamp represents us (sisters) that if we allow ourselves to be enlightened by the Word of God and consumed by His Love, we can burn with His own light and bring it into the world.

After an intense morning of confrontation, in the afternoon we went to Basilica of the Holy House (Basilica della Santa Casa) is a Marian shrine in Loreto, (Lauretan Jubilee). During the Mass, the Priest reminded us how “each of us came to Mary’s house with intentions that he entrusts to the woman of the “Yes” with all the loved ones He carries in his heart”. We sure that Our Lady of Loreto accompanied us, we have handed over our Institute and the General Chapter work to her protection.

Today’s colourful evening ended with fraternity and joy. Each province expressed their thanks to the General Government for all the works they have done in last years, for their attention and compassion which they have rendered into their service and all the hard work & suffering they have taken to accomplish their service. Our gratitude was expressed with signs, songs and… dances. It was a moment of fraternal & joyful. Then Sr. Beatrice wished us, this joy should accompany us in coming days.

In this occasion, we would like to express our sincere thanks to our sisters of “Gromo”  and “Bergamo Bassa” community. Our hearts filled with gratitude as we remember those days they had taken care of us before the General Chapter. On several occasions they came to pick up us from the airport, they provided us tasty food & accommodation and also helped us for the documents. Their welcoming attitude and all the attentions they had taken for us was very impressible. On 28th we could celebrate Holy Mass with in the community of Bergamo bassa. Then they offered a special breakfast for us.  On 9th we celebrated Holy Mass with in the community of Brescia and we visited the museum of Saint Teresa Verzeri. We had lunch together. We thank God and we entrust each of them in to the Heart of Jesus, He knows that how to reward for their availability much better than we can do.
